ACCE
Athletic Conference of Christian Educators
Ranger Athletics, in partnership with Fideles Christian School ,
is a Christian non-profit organization serving the home schooling community of Forsyth County
and the surrounding areas.
We believe home educating parents should not be faced with abandoning home schooling in search of a competitive program to provide their athletically gifted child an opportunity matched, until now, by only large private or public schools.
We also wish to give opportunity to athletically gifted students of small Private schools with out athletic programs
Purpose:
To offer the home educating community a competitive sports program while building Godly character and glorifying God in all that we do.
About us:
Ranger Athletics, in partnership with Fideles Christian School , is a Christian non-profit organization serving the home schooling community of Forsyth County and the surrounding areas. We believe home educating parents should not be faced with abandoning home schooling in search of a competitive program to provide their athletically gifted child an opportunity matched, until now, by only large private or public schools. We want those that wish to continue home educating their children to have a Christian based sports program competing at a level that would warrant recognition by recruiters. We strive to be a competitive sports program that glorifys God in all that we do. Our goal is to instill Godly character in the areas of leadership, team work, determination, and competitiveness in the youth of our community. We believe that if a player is encouraged to do his personal best and give God the glory when personal and team victories come, the wins will outnumber the losses.
Our Eligibility Requirements document outlines age, academic, and behavior requirements. All coaches and players represent Christ and Fideles Christian School while participating in Ranger Athletics events.
The Rangers:
Our Ranger mascot reflects the purpose and history of several different types of Rangers. The rangers of the English Kings, the Texas Rangers, and U.S. Forest Rangers reflect our commitment to preserve the elements of our Faith and Christian culture. Soldier rangers from our country's first settlements until today's U.S. Army Rangers reflect our commitment to prepare and specially train to meet the challenges of our modern world. Our specific mascot taken from George Washington's Corps of Rangers reflects our commitment to pass on to our neighbors and our posterity the rich heritage of faith and culture that we have received through God and country.
Statement of Faith:
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God (2 Timothy 3:15; 2 Peter 1:21).
We believe there is only one God, eternally existent in three persons -- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30).
We believe in the deity of Christ (John 10:33); His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:35); His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15; 7:26); His miracles (John 2:11); His vicarious and atoning death (1 Corinthians 15:3; Ephesians 1: &; Hebrews 2:9); His resurrection (John 11:25; 1 Corinthians 15:4); His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19); His personal return in power and glory (Acts 1:11; Revelation 19:11).
We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature, and that men are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ and that only by God’s grace and through faith alone we are saved (John 3:16-19; 5:24; Romans 3:23; 5:8-9; Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus 3:5).
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of condemnation (John 5:28-29).
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 8:9; I Corinthians 12:12-13; Galatians 3:26-28).
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life (Romans 8:13-14; I Corinthians 3:16; 6:19-20; Ephesians 4:30; 5:18).
